While travelling in Jinju, I stopped by Yeonharu, a large, multi-storey cafe set along the Namgang River.
Parking appears to be shared with the adjacent Mercedes-Benz dealership. Since the dealership can get busy,
it did feel as though parking took a little longer than expected, but otherwise I found it fairly straightforward.
A parking attendant is on hand to help, so you can simply follow their directions.

Parking: Parking is available in the building. There are reportedly designated spaces for the Mercedes-Benz service centre and dealership, so finding a spot is generally less of a concern.
I ordered an Americano, and was asked whether I preferred a sweeter blend or one with more pronounced acidity. I tend to favour bright acidity over sweetness, so I went with that.
The cafe’s standout feature is its sweeping, open view.
It is not easy to find a cafe in the middle of the city with a vista this expansive.
I found the terrace seating especially reassuring and relaxed.
Inside, the high ceilings and generous sense of space are impressive, although it can get somewhat noisy when the cafe is busy. On my way around, I also noticed that there is a no-kids area.
I can understand why parents visiting with children might find that inconvenient, but it is also true that it is difficult to relax in a space where overly energetic children are running around. In situations like that, a children’s cafe where kids can play freely can be a useful alternative.
In any case, the thoughtful interior details throughout the cafe give visitors plenty to look at, adding an enjoyable element to the experience.
Yeonharu Coffee: Atmosphere and Highlights
The “Namgang view” is the cafe’s main attraction. With large windows and floor-to-ceiling glass, the river unfolds in full view, according to numerous reviews.
The interior is spacious and clean, with generous room between tables, making it a comfortable place to visit with friends, a partner or family.
There is also outdoor terrace seating, which is ideal for enjoying the riverside scenery when the weather is fine.
That said, as a popular “view cafe”, it can be crowded during peak hours, so it is best to visit when you have plenty of time.
As the photos suggest, Yeonharu has the feel of a serious specialty coffee shop.
Even when placing my order, I could sense that the team has an unusual level of dedication to coffee and its preparation.
Yeonharu Coffee: Menu and Recommendations
The menu is varied, covering not only standard coffee drinks but also lattes, ade, desserts and bingsu.
Recommended options include:
Velvety Cream Latte
Nokhyang Strawberry Latte (a combination of green tea and strawberry)
Dubeerry Greek Yogurt Parfait — an excellent dessert choice.
There are also bingsu options, which are ideal for sharing with friends.
Prices may be slightly on the higher side, but the quality makes it difficult not to give the cafe high marks.
How to Make the Most of Your Visit
Many reviews say the view along the Namgang River is especially beautiful around sunset. Try to time your visit for dusk.
Window or terrace seating also makes for better photos.
There is parking, but because the building also houses a service centre, it may be busier on weekends and during peak seasons. Allow yourself plenty of time.
After you order a drink, you will be notified by phone when it is ready. I was walking around the cafe without my phone, so I heard the announcement instead.
There is no designated smoking area.
