So I went looking for a great place to enjoy it.
And yes, Geoje has one.
I’m the fool who parked at a nearby supermarket because I didn’t realize there was a parking lot right in front of the restaurant.
I really should look up the details before heading somewhere, but I tend to just say, “Let’s go!” and figure things out as I go ….
Somehow, I muddle through each time ….ㅠㅠ
Anyway, I found the place without any further trouble.

Taebaekjib2020 has built a strong local reputation for its kimchi stew and spicy stir-fried pork.
When I arrived, quite a few diners were already enjoying their meals.
The interior was clean and orderly, making it suitable both for solo diners and for groups.
Trying the signature kimchi stew and rolled omelet
The clear standouts here are the kimchi stew and spicy stir-fried pork. Both cost KRW 10,000 per serving and come with a bowl of rice, making them ideal for a satisfying meal.
I was tempted by the pork, but ordering it alongside the kimchi stew would probably have meant either leaving food behind or eating until I burst.
So I ordered a rolled omelet instead—but that still left me feeling as if my stomach might burst.
Kimchi stew: Perhaps it was the house’s specially aged kimchi, but the broth was intensely savory and wonderfully deep. Generous portions of tender Korean pork shoulder and tofu made it nearly impossible not to finish an entire bowl of rice.
Rolled omelet: Rich, savory, and the sort of flavor almost anyone would enjoy. It also happens to pair beautifully with kimchi stew.
A self-service bar and side dishes to round out the meal
Another appeal of Taebaekjib2020 is its self-service bar. It offers neatly prepared side dishes such as spicy shredded radish salad, stir-fried fish cake, and mung bean sprouts, along with fresh leafy greens for wrapping. You can help yourself to as much as you like, which was a particularly nice touch.
Convenient ordering and parking
Ordering is easy through the kiosk at each table. If you park at the “GJG Parking Lot” directly in front of the restaurant, the staff can take care of the parking registration for you.
Just don’t make the same mistake I did and park at the supermarket ….
