Traveling Korea in Fall 2026: Domestic Travel Discounts Begin Oct. 1
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are launching the Traveling Korea in Fall 2026 campaign. According to the two agencies, the campaign will run from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30, 2026, offering discounts on transportation, lodging, camping and travel packages.
The campaign is designed to reduce the cost of domestic travel during the fall season and encourage more visitors to population-decline areas and regional tourist destinations. Its launch ceremony was held Sept. 15, 2026, at KT&G Sangsang Planet in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
80,000 Lodging Vouchers Available From Sept. 22 on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
About 80,000 lodging vouchers will be offered for accommodations outside the Seoul metropolitan area. Starting at 10 a.m. on Sept. 22, 2026, travelers can claim one voucher per person through online travel agency channels, while supplies last. The vouchers can be used through Nov. 8.
For the first time this year, separate lodging vouchers will also be available for island destinations. Travelers booking accommodations priced at 70,000 won or more can receive a 50,000-won discount, while bookings under 70,000 won qualify for a 30,000-won discount. Participation and voucher allocations may vary by region, so travelers should check the official information before booking.

Cash Rebates and Themed Trips Aim to Boost Regional Economies
Under the Regional Love Vacation Support Program, visitors to select areas will receive a rebate worth 50% of their travel expenses in the form of mobile regional gift certificates. The rebate is capped at 100,000 won per person, while people in their 20s and 30s may receive up to 140,000 won.
In addition, the “Five Travelers, Five Ways to Explore” program will operate in 25 regions nationwide, centered on food, hiking, hands-on experiences, family travel and eco-friendly tourism. Regional discount programs organized by local governments and partner agencies—including Daegu city tours, temple stays and rural tour passes—will also be offered during the campaign.
What to Check Before Planning a Fall Trip in Korea
Issuance dates, validity periods, eligible destinations and booking platforms vary by lodging voucher and transportation benefit. Lodging vouchers in particular may run out on a first-come, first-served basis, and some benefits apply only to selected online travel agencies or participating products.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are publishing detailed benefits and participating products on the official “Traveling Korea in Fall” website. Travelers should check voucher release dates and terms of use before making plans.
