Key Matchups and Viewing Tips
Morning Foursomes Put Teamwork to the Test
In foursomes, two players alternate hitting the same ball. The order of play off the tee, precision with approach shots and the ability to avoid mistakes between partners can all have a direct impact on the momentum of a match.
Afternoon Four-Ball Rewards Aggressive Play
In four-ball, each player plays their own ball, with the team’s better score counting on each hole. A common strategy is for one player to attack in search of birdies while the other focuses on securing a steady score.
Sunday Singles Will Decide the Winner
On the final day, players from the two teams face one another head-to-head. Each match is worth its own point regardless of the accumulated score from the opening two days, meaning the standings and the Cup’s outcome can change dramatically down the stretch.
